Here's some quick info about me...

I'm Scarlet Spain! I am excited that you are here. I am an occupational health nurse practitioner (with almost 15 years of experience as a NP), a healthcare consultant working specifically with occupational health concerns, and an Assistant Professor and DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) Program Director. I am passionate about keeping employees safe while at work and teaching our future generations of nurse practitioners. Take a look around my site and let me know if we can work together!

Back Pain

Lower back pain is a significant global health concern. It is the leading cause of disability and missed workdays globally and accounts for high costs for the healthcare system and employers. I am conducting a back pain prevention project for heavy industrial workers to increase knowledge to help prevent future episodes of back pain. If you are interested in participating, click here!
